Funny I was just driving on the M5 at night last night and ft exactly as you described. Trapped. I just wanted to drive and drive. We want to leave the UK in our van too. I'd be very interested if you'd share whether you were jabbed or not as being unjabbed appears to be a massive hurdle from what I've read about various European countries - particularly Germany? So a few years ago I was looking for a van to live in after the breakdown of an 8 year relationship and found your guide on the LDV and ended up picking myself up a pilot and turning it into a home using your guide! I lived in it for 2 years and then COVID came and I moved into a house with my sister to earn some money and save. Well I just found myself a high top roof (imagine finding one of those for a 30 year old pilot! They were rare in the 90s) so I am in the process of fitting the high top roof to my bus. That means I can fit a shower room! It's going to be a game changer for when I move back in. Anyway, I'm glad to see you're making proper length videos as last time I checked you only had a few short ones posted. Yeah this is sad bro, I would love to go to Amsterdam reasons being not just for peace, But i couldnt afford to travel, Plus i suffer CPTSD, My panic mode is all over the place lets just say, I havent left this Island for about 18 years, An that was just belgium booze an ciggie run, An Paris disney land around 17 years ago, Apart from that i been stuck on this Island only dreaming of having enough money, The CPTSD, Depression an anxiety have had huge impact on how i lived my life, Almost lost the will to even go out on my electric monster scooter, Coz of the worry the police will just stop me an take it off me is messing my head up while i journey, Since i seen police taking xiomi scooters off people it has had a knock on effect with the CPTSD i suffer, I cant use public transport coz of the CPTSD, An have no licence so i have to stay in not being able to travel very far, Nothing round here, Mountains are a bit of a treck to walk, So i bought a bafang mid motor for my carerra hellcat mountain bike, Cant wait to get it delivered an fit it, Can finally do the Taff trail, Right up to Brecon Beacons, An escape to the welsh mountains with my bag of erbz an camera, Might be able to grab the last days of Autumn an animals stocking up for winter, Anyone got a tent they can recommend for a good price, Easy to put up an carry by anychance, There so many diff tents im confused on what is the best for carrying on a mountain bike?? I really do yearn for a place like Blue mountains in Jamiaca, I can be left alone to grow my erbz in peace, Here in the UK laws dictate how we can live our lifes, Take cannabis, Gov gives a licence to british sugar to grow as much cannabis as possible, But a person like me who suffers CPTSD, Is not allowed to grow a few little plants for myself, Even tho i use cannabis for CPTSD, It proper sucks suffering CPTSD by the way, It really do, But yeah far too many laws govern our lifes, Slowly i can see people getting fed up, An people will just do what they wants, Its sad tho coz i fear being arrested i no longer grow coz i actually was arrested, I cant afford 400-500 qiud a month for medical cannabis, So im stuck suffering with nightmares an dissasciation, I dont speak to nobody no more, At least i got my sim rig to escape for few hours on Assetto Corsa Competizione, An the electric motor coming, Still tho a weekend away is far from being reality at the moment, While people like Rab get 6 grand a day holidays, His people suffer, I can never understand why people voted for that, I never even knew holidays could even be that expensive, But yeah the UK is not a good place right about now, I dont blame you wanting to escape too stunning Switzerland, I admire you getting up an actually doing it, I bet Switzerland got no shortage of petrol, lol.....

haha, as a Dutch native who relocated to the UK (Scotland) in Dec 2020 I totally felt that "BREXIT why!?!!" sigh you let out. I have done one of those hundreds of times! Brexit has been such a pain in my butt, despite arriving just before the deadline. Enjoy Sweden!

Just bought your book. My dad converted a Morris van into a camper and took us to France and Spain on a 5 week trip twice in the 70s. Might start weekending in a camper next year, once I change my care job and start getting every weekend off.
